Dr Yan Kalika, DMD, MS, is a certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, and the San Francisco Dental Society.

Dr. Kalika graduated with honors and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993, majoring in chemistry. During his time at Berkeley, he was part of the Student Honor Society and Golden Key Honor Society. He received his dental degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1998 and completed a dental health policy fellowship in Washington D.C. While at Harvard, he served as president of the American Student Dental Association and received a national award of excellence. He was also a lecturer at both the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and the Harvard School of Public Health. His achievements include honors in all clinical disciplines, the Soma Weiss Research Scholarship, and an International Research Fellowship from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Kalika completed his orthodontic training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he earned a specialty certificate in orthodontics and facial orthopedics, along with a master’s degree in oral biology. He is dedicated to delivering top-tier orthodontic treatment that exceeds patient and parent expectations.

Dr. Kalika has treated the highest number of Invisalign patients in San Francisco and the Bay Area. He also served as a consultant to Align Technology (makers of Invisalign) in the company’s early stages.
